Some say she is the driving force within the walls of the POWER House. Princess Shavers emits a sophisticated professionalism, always maintaining her composure and dignity. One witnessing her demeanor and character can only be more impressed by her dedicated work ethic. It is no secret that things run smoothly when this Senior Administrative Assistant is on the job. Her secret, she states with a smile, “is organization. I utilize my calendar, tasks list, and I prioritize. My passion is to be helpful. A lot of people depend on me around here, so I get the job done and make sure the clients are receiving the care they deserve.” With an innate ability to problem solve, she states, with confidence, “There is always a resolution and a solution.”
Princess gets things done!! She is so efficient, while remaining passionate, about the work she does. She goes above and beyond in her role as Senior Administrative Assistant. One example is her development of curriculum and plans for a Self-esteem group that she facilitates for the women at POWER House. The clients always love it and come away with hope and a more positive view of themselves. Princess is currently the co-leader of the Antiracism Taskforce and has done an amazing job in that role as well. She has developed trainings and discussion topics and always brings things up from a “calling in” perspective. We are very thankful to have her here at POWER.

Princess is always on top of everything that comes up at POWER House. She is incredibly kind and available if she is needed. She has a huge heart, and she cares deeply for the clients. I admire her dedication, her emotional intelligence, her willingness to pitch in. She is also one of the smartest members of the POWER House staff. Princess always makes me feel comfortable when I speak with her – even when she is telling me something I don’t want to hear. I admire her in every way.
