COVID-19 Update to Services

Treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders as well as recovery support services are available and can be safely provided!

As of Aug. 17, 2020:

All Intake services are provided by telephone.  Intake Specialists conduct urgent care screenings, refer clients for critical medical and/or mental health services when indicated, and schedule all level of care assessments. Call the POWER Line at 412-243-8755.

Assessments are conducted via telehealth or face-to-face as needed. Assessment Specialists take precautions to protect clients and staff during in-person assessments, including the use of masks.

Mentors see clients both virtually and in person when necessary and critical to a client’s recovery. Mentors use social distancing, additional cleaning, and masks to keep the community safe.

Individual therapy is available in person or via telehealth, with the goal of honoring client choice while following safety protocols. Group therapy continues to be conducted virtually.

POWER House is open and accepting new clients. POWER continues to work to provide clients a balance between practicing universal safety precautions intended to reduce the risk of contracting/spreading the coronavirus and facilitating a successful transition back to the community.
